Meet your groomer
Why Blue Ridge exists.
I started working with dogs when I was 18, at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, where I was born and raised.
While I was there, I met a master groomer who volunteered at the shelter. She took me under her wing and spent two years teaching me the art of grooming. That experience became the foundation for everything I do today.
Since then, I've worked in almost every corner of the dog industry—from dog training and boarding/daycare to taking dogs on off-leash hikes through the Colorado mountains. And through it all, I've always continued grooming.
Eventually, I realized I wanted to do things differently. After leaving my last salon, I started Blue Ridge Dog Grooming because I wanted to create a warm, inviting environment for dogs who struggle with grooming.
I didn't want to groom ten dogs a day while worrying about the next dog waiting in the next room. I was burnt out, and I knew there had to be a better way.
“I don't have to worry about what's next. I can just worry about what's in front of me.”
Now I get to slow down and really work with each dog—to notice when they're nervous, celebrate when they accomplish something new, and give them the patience they deserve.
I also genuinely love getting to know my clients. I love hearing about their families, their adventures, their dogs' personalities, and everything in between. Over time, I feel like I become a small part of their lives—and that's one of the most special parts of this job.
At the end of the day, I want every dog who walks into Blue Ridge to feel safe, cared for, and understood.

A few things to know 🐾
Before you book.
What vaccinations are required?
Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies are required. Please send vaccination records.
What if my dog is nervous or difficult to groom?
Tell us ahead of time. We work patiently and use positive reinforcement, but safety comes first. Dogs displaying unsafe aggression or biting cannot be groomed.
What happens with severe matting?
If brushing would cause significant discomfort or compromise skin or wellbeing, a shave-down may be necessary. The $20 base matting fee applies and additional fees may apply for exceptionally severe cases. A requested haircut may not be possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
What if I don't show up?
A 50% groom fee is required as a deposit toward the next groom before another appointment can be booked.
How long can my dog stay after grooming?
We'll send a 15-minute heads-up when your pup is getting close to ready. Please plan to arrive within 15 minutes of your dog's grooming being completed.
How can I pay?
Cash, card, Apple Pay, Venmo—and yes, we may accept a little honey as a trade. 🍯😂
Can I bring a haircut reference photo?
Absolutely. A reference photo helps us understand the look you're going for.
Have a very large, extra-fluffy, or high-maintenance pup?
Some dogs need a little more time, equipment, or specialized handling. We keep that pricing individualized rather than posting a one-size-fits-all price online.
